AUBURN, Ala. – The quest for a national title begins this week as the No. 11 Auburn men's golf team takes aim at the 2019 NCAA Championship, May 24-29. The Tigers are one of 30 teams in the hunt at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.

"We're excited to get started in the national championship this week at The Blessings," head coach Nick Clinard said. "We have played some excellent golf the past two tournaments and are looking forward to the challenge this week."

Auburn is seeded 11th and is paired with 10th-seeded Stanford and 12th-seeded Cal for the first two rounds at the par-72, 7,550-yard course. Friday's tee time is set for 1:27 p.m. CT off the first tee, while Saturday's tee time is 8:07 a.m. CT off the 10th tee. Sunday's tee time will be determined following the second round.

After three rounds of stroke play, half of the field will be cut with the remaining 15 teams battling it out in a fourth and final round of stroke play. The top eight teams will then advance to match play to decide who will be crowned national champions.

The Tigers are making their 24th appearance at the NCAA Championship, including eight of 10 seasons under Clinard. Auburn's best finish in program history came last year when it tied for third after advancing to the semifinals of match play.

The Tigers are the only program in the Southeastern Conference to advance to the NCAA Championships each of the last eight seasons. Auburn is just one of four teams nationally to accomplish the feat, joining Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas.

Auburn is represented this week by Trace Crowe, Graysen Huff, Brandon Mancheno, Wells Padgett, Jovan Rebula and Jacob Solomon.

Rebula leads the team with a stroke average of 70.79 per round, followed by Crowe (71.61), Solomon (71.76), Mancheno (71.85), Huff (72.09) and Padgett (72.84).

Live scoring for the 2019 NCAA Championship will be available on Golfstat.com. In addition, the Golf Channel will carry live coverage during the final round of stroke play, as well as a majority of match play.
