FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior Jacob Solomon led the way for the No. 11 Auburn men's golf team in the second round of the 2019 NCAA Championship Saturday afternoon.

Solomon fired a 3-under 69 in his second tour of The Blessings Golf Club to move into a tie for fourth overall at 4-under (71-69--140).

"I played really well today and hit the ball fantastic," Solomon said. "I just had one mistake on No. 15 where I made a bad double-bogey. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with the way I played."

Solomon found his groove early and, despite the double-bogey, did not make a mistake the rest of the way. The Dublin, Calif. native carded five birdies and 12 pars on the day, marking the second consecutive day he has turned in a round below par.

"Jacob played great today," head coach Nick Clinard said. "He's really comfortable with his ball striking right now. I look for him to continue to play well over the next couple of days."

Jovan Rebula produced an up-and-down 1-over 73 to move into a tie for 23rd overall at 2-over (73-73--146). The junior turned in a team-best six birdies, but had a pair of double-bogeys on the back-nine.

Brandon Mancheno shot a 4-over 76 and is positioned in a tie for 37th at 4-over (72-76--148). The sophomore took advantage of a pair of par-4s on No. 4 and No. 6 to highlight his second tour of the par-72 course.

Graysen Huff also turned in a 4-over 76 and is tied for 89th at 9-over (77-76--153). The junior turned in a team-high 14 pars on the day spread evenly across the front and back nine.

Trace Crowe rounded out the lineup and is tied for 96th at 10-over (76-78--154).

As a team, the Tigers fell just one spot to fourth on the team leaderboard. Oklahoma State leads the field at 10-under (566), while Stanford (578) and Texas A&M (583) are ahead of Auburn.

The rest of the top 10 includes Texas (588), Oklahoma (592), Wake Forest (593), Ohio State (593), Cal (593) and Clemson (594).

The Tigers begin their third round Sunday morning at 7:12 a.m. CT and are paired with Oklahoma and Texas off the 10th tee box. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.
