Auburn won its second straight series against Alabama for the first time since 2003-04, which also marked the team 15th series win in the last 17 weekends at Plainsman Park dating back to 2017 … the Tigers hit .368 (39-for-106) and scored 28 runs in the three-game series … Auburn's 17-run outburst in the series finale was the third time the team has scored 17 or more runs against Alabama in the last seven games … prior to the last seven games against the Crimson Tide, Auburn had not scored 17 runs in any of the previous 107 games in the series … the Tigers 17 runs in the series finale against Alabama were also the most in a game this season and the team's 19 hits were its second-highest total … seven players turned in two or more hits in the game and all nine members of the starting lineup recorded a hit and scored a run … Auburn struck out just one time in the series finale, marking the fewest strikeouts in a game since striking out once on two occasions in the season-opening series vs. George Washington in 2017 … Jack Owen made his first start since Mar. 16 and his first series opening start Friday and improved to 4-0 on the season as he allowed one run in five innings and earned the win … the game marked the 16th time this season Auburn allowed two runs or fewer … Rankin Woley went 3-for-4 with three RBI from the plate and started two of the team's season-high three double plays in the field in the contest … the Tigers scored four run in the eighth inning to take a one-run lead in the middle game against the Crimson Tide but couldn't hold the advantage … Matt Scheffler recorded a hit in all three games and extended his SEC hitting streak to 14 games … Auburn continues its eight-game homestand with four games at Plainsman Park this week … the Tigers take on UAB Tuesday at 6 p.m. before hosting No. 8 Georgia for three games from Friday-Sunday.
