CHICAGO – Auburn basketball's trio of Bryce Brown, Jared Harper and Chuma Okeke have accepted invitations to the annual pre-NBA Draft workouts.
Okeke will attend the NBA Draft Combine, while Brown and Harper will participate in the NBA G League Elite Camp.
Auburn's three expected attendees between the two events are tied for the most NBA Draft-eligible players in the Southeastern Conference with Kentucky and Tennessee. The Tigers' total is also tied for the fifth-most in the country, trailing only Duke, Gonzaga, North Carolina and Virginia who have four apiece.
The NBA Draft Combine is scheduled to take place at Quest Multisport in Chicago, May 16-17. ESPN2 will provide coverage both days from 2-6 p.m. CT.
The NBA G League Elite Camp, set for May 12-14, is also held at Quest Multisport. Brown and Harper could earn invites to stay for further evaluation based on their performance in the camp.
The NBA Draft Combine is a multi-day showcase where draft-eligible players participate in physical measurements, interviews, drills, medical and athletic testing, and scrimmages in front of NBA personnel. NBA coaches, general managers and scouts will be on hand to assess individual players in preparation for the 2019 NBA Draft, which is set for June 20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Okeke led Auburn with seven double-doubles in his sophomore campaign, including three in the month of March. He also scored in double figures in 15 of his last 17 games. Okeke averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game during the NCAA Tournament and was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team and Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team.
Brown broke the Auburn career record and finished second in SEC history with 382 3-pointers. He was an All-SEC Second Team honoree after leading Auburn with 15.9 points per game and setting the SEC single-season record with 141 3-pointers.
Harper became the only player in program history with 1,400 points and 500 assists in a career. He set the Tigers' single-season record with 231 assists and earned All-SEC Second Team recognition. Harper was also tabbed as the Midwest Regional Most Outstanding Player after averaging 17.5 points and 6.5 assists during Auburn's run to the Final Four.
