AUBURN, Ala. Aly Tetzloff, who recently completed her swimming career at Auburn, was recognized by The Scholar Baller program by being placed on its Academic Momentum Award Second Team.

Tetzloff, a psychology major who graduated this past spring, was a major contributor as Auburn's women's swimming and diving team finished 12th at this year's NCAA Championships, the highest team finish since 2012.

A native of Crown Point, Indiana, Tetzloff became the 16th Auburn woman to earn seven All-America honors at a single NCAA Championships in 2019 and finished her career with 15 All-America honors total, six from individual events and nine on relays.

At the 2019 SEC Championships, Tetzloff swam on the SEC record-setting 400 freestyle relay team and also won an individual title in the 100 backstroke.

In total, Tetzloff leaves Auburn holding the school record in the 100 fly (50.61) and 100 back (50.92) and also swam on the school-record 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams.

The Scholar Baller program, in conjunction with the Institute for Sport & Social Justice (ISSJ), announced the recipients of the 2018/5019 Academic Momentum Award. Top nominations were categorized into three teams based on each student-athlete's academic improvement and the impact each student-athlete's academic performance had on his or her classmates, teammates, academic advisors and professors.
