Austin, Texas—Auburn sophomore Cade Antonucci earned honorable mention All-America honors Wednesday during Day 1 of the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.

A Mays Landing, N.J., native, Antonucci finished 21st with a best toss of 63.89m/209-7. After a foul on his first attempt, Antonucci posted his 63.89m before concluding his round with a mark of 63.42m. It was the second consecutive NCAA Outdoor appearance for Antonucci, the first time in school history men's javeliln thrower advanced to nationals in back-to-back years.

Thursday will be the Tigers' busiest day as freshman Madi Malone, sophomore Joyce Kimeli and junior Kylee Carter will all be in action. Senior Skyler Daniel will compete in the high jump on Saturday.

Malone will kick thins off for the Auburn women Thursday at 4:30 p.m. CT in the women's hammer throw. The school record holder in the event, Malone owns the Top 10 marks in school history and will look to become a two-time All-American as a freshman. Malone earned All-America honors in the weight throw indoors.

A two-event qualifier, Kimeli will run in the 3000m steeplechase semifinals at 7:32 p.m. The top five runners from each of two heats of the 3000m steeple and the next five best times will qualify for Saturday's finals at 5:54 p.m. The school record holder in the event, Kimeli enters as the No. 11 seed in the event.

Ranked No. 3 nationally in the javelin throw, Carter will conclude the Tigers' efforts on Day 2 at 8:15 p.m. The Beauregard, Ala., native is the school record holder in the event and is the owner of the top 10 tosses in school history.
