Fifteen Tigers named to CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn swimming and diving programs had 15 members named to the 2019 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team, the organization announced last week. 

The Tigers had eight men and seven women recognized for their work in the classroom. 

On the men's side, Tommy Brewer, David Crossland, Owen Upchurch and Matthew Yish all earned First Team honors while Brogan Davis, Bryan Lee, Aryan Makhija and Russell Noletto were each Honorable Mention selections. 

The women, all First Team selections, included Erin Falconer, Alison Maillard, Jessica Merritt, Julie Meynen, Sonnele Oeztuerk, McAuley Parker and Abi Wilder. 

The award recognizes students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Those named honorable mention have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and a "B" time standard or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.
