In an athletic year that featured a record setting bowl victory for Auburn Football, the greatest season in Auburn Men's Basketball history, a trip to the College World Series for Auburn Baseball, yet another National Title for Auburn Equestrian and a top four finish for Auburn Women's Golf, track and field athlete Kylee Carter had one of the best individual seasons not only in 2018-19, but in recent Auburn Athletics memory.  The All American javelin thrower won an SEC Championship and finished second at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, while setting school record after school record.  Recently, the Auburn graduate represented the United States at the N-A-C-A-C U23 Championships in Mexico, where she won yet another gold medal.  Of her 10 competitions, Carter won eight times in 2019.  Her next completion is the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships starting July 25th in Des Moines, Iowa.

Carter is from Beauregard, Alabama.  The devastating tornado that ripped through Lee County in early March came within a mile of her home.  While her family and her home was spared, many in the area lost their homes and family members.  Since that time, in addition to being a student athlete Carter has helped friends recover from the destruction of the tornado.  With one year remaining in her Auburn career, Kylee Carter has elevated her sights on the Olympics in Tokyo next summer.   Kylee Carter is featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast.
