Freshman Molly Pember is no stranger to Auburn volleyball and the Auburn Family. The defensive specialist is set to make a name for herself on the Plains and will be a contributor in the back row for the Tigers this season.
Q: What drew you into coming to Auburn among other schools?
A: My sister came to school and played volleyball here too. Auburn felt like home the most to me compared to other schools.
Q: What is your favorite Auburn tradition?
A: Rolling Toomer's Corner.
Q: What does 'War Eagle' mean to you?
A: War Eagle means having pride that you are a part of the Auburn family.
Q: Did you play any other sports growing up, if so what made you want to stick with volleyball?
A: I grew up playing soccer too, but I stuck to volleyball because my sister did too.
Q: What's your favorite home cooked meal?
A: Probably when my parents cook steak and mashed potatoes.
Q: How would you describe your hometown to someone else?
A: A close knit town who is very family based and loves and supports our sports teams.
Q: What's your go-to pregame music?
A: Probably rap music.
Q: What are your individual and team goals for this season?
A: Individual: be someone who motivates my teammates to want to get better and be consistent with my attitude and performance each day.
Team: push ourselves to compete and get better each day on and off the court, create a positive culture and brand for ourselves.
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone who would it be and why?
A: Serena Williams because she is such an inspiration to women all over the world.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you've ever gotten from someone?
A: Find happiness within your own life and don't rely on others for your happiness.
Q: Who is your biggest role model and why?
A: My parents because they have always supported me and guided me to be my best self.
Q: What does it mean to you to be a part of the Auburn Family?
A: You have chosen to be a part of the best school and fan base in the nation and are a part of the best family out there.
