AUBURN, Ala. – In a span of a week, the Auburn women's golf program saw its first alum win an LPGA event and one of its current student-athletes compete in an LPGA major.

The winner was Cydney Clanton (read more). The current student-athlete was rising junior Julie McCarthy, who earned an exemption to play in this year's Evian Championship in France. Though McCarthy struggled in the first round and ultimately missed the cut, she posted a much-improved 77 (+6) in the second round that included two birdies.

Rising senior Kayley Marschke didn't have to travel as far, playing two tournaments in her home state of Tennessee, but she put together a solid week to close out July.

Marschke finished tied for 21st in the Golf Capital of Tennessee Women's Open where she also won the long drive championship. Then, days later, she competed in the LNGA Amateur Championship in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, where she placed in a tie for 30th. The highlight of the tournament came in the third round when Marschke made five straight birdies en route to shooting an impressive 68 (-3) on the day.

Teammate Mychael O'Berry also posted a low score with a 69 (-3) in the final round of the Canadien Women's Amateur Championship. O'Berry, who made nine birdies for the week, finished tied for 48th in the field of 156.

Here's a look at all of the recent results and the upcoming events this summer.
