ORLANDO, Fla. – The preseason honors continue to pour in for Auburn's Jovan Rebula. The senior was chosen to the Haskins Award Watch List, the Golf Channel announced Friday.
Rebula is one of just 25 golfers in the country to be on the watch list for the prestigious honor awarded to the nation's top college golfer annually.
In Golf Channel's preseason ranking, Rebula sits at No. 6 on the list trailing only Texas' Cole Hammer, Arizona State's Chun An Yu, Florida State's John Pak, Vanderbilt's John Augenstein and Oklahoma State's Austin Eckroat.
Last season's Southeastern Conference individual champion, Rebula was an All-SEC selection and earned All-American honors for the second season.
The George, South Africa native shot a team-best 71.34 strokes per round in 2018-19 and had 15 circuits under par, including 13 in the 60s.
He was the team's top finisher in three tournaments a season ago and secured five top-10 finishes.
Rebula and the Tigers tee off the 2019-20 season Sept. 23-24 in Toledo, Ohio for the Inverness Intercollegiate at Inverness Club.
