The NFL is back. Here's a look at how the 26 former Auburn players on active rosters fared this past weekend in Week 1 of the NFL season.

BEST OF WEEK 1

Carlton Davis, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The second-year cornerback, who started in 12 games as a rookie last year, opened his sophomore campaign with three tackles against the San Francisco 49ers. Davis also recovered a fumble seconds before halftime.

Dee Ford, LB, San Francisco 49ers
In his first game with his new team, Ford delivered a strip sack of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston late in the first quarter. It's a quick start for the former Pro Bowler, who tied the league lead in forced fumbles last season with seven. His efforts helped the 49ers beat the Buccaneers, 31-17, on Sunday.

C.J. Uzomah, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Entering his fifth season in the NFL, Uzomah set a new career-high with 66 yards receiving for the Bengals on Sunday. The former fifth-round pick earned the start at tight end and caught four of the five passes thrown his way in a 21-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

OTHER TIGERS IN THE NFL

Montravious Adams, DT, Green Bay Packers
Adams recorded one tackle in Green Bay's 10-3 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday night. The former second-round pick made his second career start in the NFL in what was his 24th career game with the Packers.

Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After leading the Buccaneers last year with 871 yards rushing, Barber tallied eight carries for 33 yards and two catches for 12 yards in Sunday's opener against the San Francisco 49ers. It was his 17th straight start for the Buccaneers.

Daren Bates, LB Tennessee Titans
Bates saw 25 snaps on special teams and four on defense and assisted on a tackle in the Titans' 43-13 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Last season, he recorded a total of nine tackles and appeared in all 16 games for the Titans.

Angelo Blackson, DL, Houston Texans
Blackson started at defensive end for the Texans in the team's first game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football and recorded two combined tackles on the night. The five-year veteran is coming off the best season of his career, where he played on 430 defensive snaps with 24 tackles.

Daniel Carlson, K, Oakland Raiders
In Oakland's 24-6 win against the Denver Broncos, Carlson made his only field-goal attempt from 29 yards out and was a perfect 3 of 3 on extra points. He's now 17 of 18 on field goals since joining the Raiders midway through last season, his rookie season. He was initially drafted in the fifth round by the Minnesota Vikings in 2018.

Chandler Cox, FB, Miami Dolphins
Making his NFL debut, Cox earned the start against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The seventh-round pick played a total of three snaps but did not record a statistic.

Jamel Dean, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A second-round pick this past April, Dean played exclusively on special teams with a total of 21 snaps in his NFL debut. He was kept off the stat sheet in a 31-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Rudy Ford, DB, Philadelphia Eagles
Ford played 18 snaps on special teams and didn't record any stats as his new team beat the Washington Redskins, 32-27, on Sunday. The third-year safety was traded to Philadelphia from the Arizona Cardinals shortly before the season began.

Josh Harris, LS, Atlanta Falcons
Harris, now in his eighth season in the NFL, served as the team's long snapper Sunday.

Kerryon Johnson, RB, Detroit Lions
Coming off an outstanding rookie season, Johnson opened the 2019 season with 16 carries for 49 yards and two catches for 13 yards as the Lions finished in a 27-27 tie against the Arizona Cardinals. It was the eighth career NFL start for the former second-round pick.

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots
Jones, who recently signed a new three-year contract extension, received the start in the first game of the season and finished with two solo tackles and one assisted tackle to help the Patriots take down the Pittsburgh Steelers, 33-3. Jones is coming off a breakthrough season where he set a new career high in tackles (56) and interceptions (3).

Devaroe Lawrence, DL, Cleveland Browns
Playing in just his second career NFL game, Lawrence saw 11 snaps on defense and two on special teams but did not record a statistic in a Week 1 loss to the Tennessee Titans. The third-year player signed a new contract with Browns following last season.

Carl Lawson, DE, Cincinnati Bengals
In his first game back since suffering a season-ending torn ACL in Week 8 last season, Lawson had one tackle and one quarterback hit as the Bengals fell to the Seattle Seahawks, 21-20. This is Year 3 in the NFL for the former fourth-round pick.

Cassanova McKinzy, LB, Washington Redskins
McKinzy, an undrafted free agent in his second season with the Redskins, recorded his first career NFL sack in Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. It was his lone tackle on the day.

Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
Entering his ninth season with the Carolina Panthers, Newton completed 25 of his 38 passes for 239 yards in a 30-27 loss to the Los Angeles Rams to begin the season.

Greg Robinson, OL, Cleveland Browns
After playing in all 16 games last season with eight starts, Robinson began the 2019 season as the team's starting left tackle. The former No. 2 overall pick is now in his sixth NFL season and second with the Browns, who lost 43-13 to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Dontavius Russell, DT, Jacksonville Jaguars
In the first game of his NFL career, Russell played 20 snaps and recorded one total tackle in the Jaguars' 40-26 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The seventh-round pick this past April will look to make an impact going forward during his rookie campaign.

Chad Slade, OL, New York Giants
Slade did not play in the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. The fifth-year offensive lineman signed with the Giants following last season.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants
Slayton, a fifth-round selection in the 2019 NFL draft, is currently out with a hamstring injury and did not play in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Braden Smith, OL, Indianapolis Colts
In his second season with the Colts, Smith started at right tackle and helped pave the way as the offense racked up 376 total yards and 203 yards rushing in a 30-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Smith, who started 13 games last year, played all 63 snaps on offense.

Jarrett Stidham, QB, New England Patriots
After an excellent preseason as a rookie, Stidham was named the primary backup to Tom Brady. The fourth-round pick did not record a snap in New England's 33-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

Neiko Thorpe, CB, Seattle Seahawks
Thorpe, who is entering his seventh NFL season and fourth with the Seahawks, had to leave Sunday's game against the Bengals early due to a hamstring injury.
