Tigers travel to Texas for the ADD-RAN Cup

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn volleyball team continues its road swing in September as the squad travels to Fort Worth, Texas, for the ADD-RAN Cup hosted by TCU, Sept. 14-15.

Auburn kicks off the weekend Saturday, Sept. 14, with a 2 p.m. CT contest vs. Miami (Fla.) before closing things out Sunday, Sept. 15, against host TCU. The Tigers and the Horned Frogs will go head-to-head at 1 p.m. CT on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.  

QUICK HITS
- Auburn (3-3) went 2-1 at the Hurricane Invitational last weekend, topping USF in five sets and George Washington in four. The Tigers opened up the weekend with a three-set loss to FGCU.
- Senior Enija Bidzane matched a career high with 19 kills in Auburn's win over South Florida. The Talsi, Latvia product finished the weekend with 41 kills over 12 sets played.
- Freshman Lily Thomason sealed the win with a solo block against the Bulls. The Castle Pines, Colo., native set a career best in the match with eight kills and five blocks off the bench.
- Sophomores Marissa Hines and Tatum Shipes both finished with a double-double in the match against USF.
- Senior Shaina White matched a career high with seven blocks against George Washington.
- Head coach Rick Nold is in his ninth season with the Auburn volleyball program.

UP NEXT
Auburn continues its road swing with a trip up north to Michigan. The Tigers will compete in Kalamazoo, Mich., Sept. 20-21 and will face Michigan State, host Western Michigan and IUPUI over the two days.

SCOUTING MIAMI
- The Miami Hurricanes went 2-0 at the Hurricane Invitational, earning its first wins of the 2019 season and improving to 2-1.
- Head coach Jose "Keno" Gandara is two wins away from tieing the second most wins in program history. Gandara currently has 114 wins.
-  The Hurricanes were picked to finish 10th in the ACC this season according to league coaches.
- Preseason All-ACC selection Elizaveta Lukianova set a new career high in attack percentage against USF this past weekending, notching a .556 clip and registering a team-high 19 kills.

SCOUTING TCU
- TCU is 3-3 on the early season and is coming off a tough weekend at home, falling in all three matches of the Fight in the Fort. The Horned Frogs dropped a pair of three-set matches to Colorado State and Florida State, while falling in five to FAU.
- TCU is a youthful team, boasting eight freshmen on the squad with just one senior.
- Freshman Audrey Nalls leads the team wtih 78 kills on the year and a 3.71 kills/set average.
- Freshman setters Irem Ucar and McKenzie Nichols have paced the TCU offense with 5.57 and a 4.21 assists/set average, respectively.
