AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn University softball team will be holding walk-on tryouts for currently enrolled, full-time students on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The tryout will be held at 6 p.m. CT at Jane B. Moore Field.

In order to try out, interested participants must be a full-time student for the 2019 fall semester. Participants must also complete the required medical and compliance paperwork outlined below. This paperwork is required to be turned in by Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 12 p.m.

Those trying out must bring their own glove, bat and cleats. If participants plan on trying out as a catcher, they must bring their own gear. Preference will be given to those with overall athletic ability and speed.

Attendees are asked to print and fill out the necessary medical paperwork, along with the waiver. Participants will need to print the blank physical form from the link and take it to a physician for a physical. They can take it to the student medical center on campus or any urgent care or other physician.

Participants will also need to have a sickle cell test and bring the results along with the final paperwork. This takes about three days to get results and can be done at the student medical center on campus.

Attendees will also need a copy of their insurance card. Participants are not allowed to try out without working health insurance.

Please contact Lana Meeks (lpm0002@auburn.edu) if there are questions regarding the tryout.
