AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball head coach Butch Thompson announced Blake Logan as the program's new director of player development Wednesday.

Logan was a member of the Auburn baseball team from 2014-17 and served the program during the previous two seasons, including as a student assistant in 2018.

"We're excited for Blake to join the staff in a full-time capacity after serving the program as a player and in other capacities the last six seasons," Thompson said. "As a director of player development, Blake will continue to serve our players and program in many ways. I'm excited that Blake and his wife, Elli, want to continue to make a difference right here in Auburn."

In his new position with the program, Logan is responsible for coordinating all aspects of video analysis, including player development and scouting. Additionally, he will handle all of the efforts behind the team's data analytics, working extensively with TrackMan and Rapsodo equipment.

"I'm very blessed and excited to be a part of the Auburn baseball staff," Logan said. "I look forward to helping develop the team not only as players on the field, but also as young men off the field. The staff and culture here is second to none. I'm ready to get started and help make a difference."

A three-year starter and four-year contributor for the Tigers, Logan appeared in 204 career games and started 40 or more contests in each of his final three seasons, primarily behind the plate. He turned in a .262 career average and totaled 40 doubles, six home runs and 100 RBI. Logan capped off his career with an appearance in the Tallahassee Regional final and was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team in 2017.

Logan completed his bachelor's degree in fitness, conditioning and performance with a minor in sport coaching in May 2017. He earned his master's degree in adult education in 2018.

A native of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Logan is married to the former Elli Mitchell. The two reside in Auburn.
