AUBURN, Ala.- Tyler Stice and Tom Wright got their first action as a part of the Auburn Tigers at the Gamecock Fall Invitational over the weekend.

Stice earned two victories in singles play over players from Miami and North Carolina. Transfer Tom Wright received valuable experience in the rigors of fall tournament play.

Head coach Bobby Reynolds was happy with newcomer's performances against tough competition.

"I was very pleased with how we competed at the tournament this weekend," said Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds. The tournament consisted of the top players in the country. Tyler competed very well and was able to come out with 2 great wins vs guys from UNC and Miami."

"The weekend was a good test for Tom to see how his body could handle the rigors of fall tournaments, so we now have a good set of parameters to work within."

Auburn is off this weekend and will begin preparation for the ITA All-Americans in Tulsa, Okla. October 4-12.

"We have 2 solid weeks to take a couple of specific areas in each guy's game and make some improvements before competing again."
