TOLEDO, Ohio – Andrew Kozan holds the individual lead at the Inverness Intercollegiate at 2-under (68-72--140) following the first two rounds Monday afternoon. The junior is one of only two players under par following 36 holes at the par-71 Inverness Club.
Despite posting a bogey on his opening hole of the day, Kozan shot 6-under through the next 12 holes, highlighted by four birdies and an eagle on the 519-yard, par-5 13th hole.
The West Palm Beach, Fla. native closed out his day with 18 pars in his final 23 holes.
Kozan leads Texas Tech's Andy Lopez by one stroke heading into the final round.
Competing in his first collegiate tournament, Alex Vogelsong is tied for 11th at 3-over (71-74--145). The freshman notched a team-best 10 birdies across 36 holes, including a string of four straight to open the back nine of his first round.
Brandon Mancheno and Jovan Rebula are tied for 18th at 4-over. Competing as an individual, Mancheno (74-72--146) carded 19 pars and seven birdies in his opening circuits of the Inverness Club.
Rebula (75-71--146) got off to a slow start at 3-over in seven holes but closed out the two-round day at 1-over through the final 29 holes.
Wells Padgett is tied for 47th at 10-over (76-76--152), while Graysen Huff is tied for 53rd at 11-over (75-78--153).
As a team, No. 8 Auburn is seven shots off the lead in third at 14-over (582). The Tigers trail only Tennessee (575) and Notre Dame (579) in the 15-team field.
