WINDERMERE, Fla. – Seniors Graysen Huff and Jovan Rebula paced the No. 16 Auburn men's golf team in the second round of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational Monday afternoon.
Huff carded a 4-under 68 - the best round by any Tiger so far in the three-round event - in his second tour of the par-72 Isleworth Country Club. The Eagle, Idaho native had a near spotless round as he turned in 12 pars, five birdies and just one bogey. He is tied for 14th overall at 2-under (74-68--142).
Rebula secured a team-best seven birdies to go along with six pars and five bogeys in his second round. The George, South Africa native is tied for 11th on the leaderboard at 3-under (71-70--141).
Brandon Mancheno is tied for 34th in the field at 3-over (72-75--147). Despite sitting at 5-over after four holes, the junior shot 2-under in his final 14 holes.
Andrew Kozan (75-76--151) and Alex Vogelsong (77-75--152) completed their second rounds and currently sit in a tie for 58th and 61st, respectively.
As a team, the Tigers moved up to eighth after the second day and are at 4-over (292-288--580) for the week. Host UCF leads the field a 21-under (555), followed by No. 2 Texas Tech (572) and Vanderbilt (572).
Auburn is paired with Arizona State and Florida for the final round of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational Tuesday, beginning at 7 a.m. CT off the No. 1 tee. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.
