AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 1 Auburn equestrian team returns to the Plains for a meet against Ole Miss Friday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. CT at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. Admission is free.
"We always look forward to having Ole Miss come to Auburn," head coach Greg Williams said. "It's a great chance for some of our student-athletes to compete at home and we're looking forward to being a part of a full weekend on the Plains for Auburn fans."
PROMOTIONS
In addition to it being 'Beat Ole Miss' weekend on the Plains, it is also Hometown Heroes Weekend for Auburn Athletics. The first 150 fans Friday will receive a Hometown Heroes shirt.
A new promotion to home meets this year is the Kia of Auburn Dirty Car promotion. The dirtiest car at every home meet will receive a coupon book from Kia of Auburn!
As always, the Kid's Zone will be set up with a bounce house, pony rides, a coloring station and yard games.
AUBURN LINEUP
Representing the Tigers in Fences vs. the Rebels will be one senior, three juniors and one sophomore. Leading the squad is senior Anna Claire Smith, while juniors Emma Crosbie, Caroline Hudon and Helen Ulrich join her in the lineup. Also riding for the Tigers will be sophomore Jessica West.
In Flat, senior Lillian Wagner will lead the crew of five going against Ole Miss. Joining her are freshmen Lindsey Klein and Mary McDaniel, sophomore Meghan Knapic, and junior Ericka Koscinski.
Senior Haley Pembroke highlights the youthful Horsemanship squad for Tigers. Sophomore Ellie Becker and freshmen Maggie Bowers, Rachel Hoopman, Jen Kasper and Maddie Spak will also ride for the Tigers.
Three riders will go in Reining for Auburn with senior Kara Kaufmann leading the squad. Sophomore Peyton Hall and freshman Kayla Shelnutt are set to compete in the event as well.
UP NEXT
The No. 1 Tigers return to the road next weekend, traveling to Texas for a pair of meets. The squad opens with a contest vs. No. 7 SMU in Dallas, Nov. 8. Auburn closes out the weekend with a big SEC contest, facing No. 2 Texas A&M in College Station, Nov. 9.
