AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn midfielder Kori Locksley has been named Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honorable mention after her performance against LSU last Thursday.
Locksley scored her second goal in as many home contests to double Auburn's advantage in the second half against the visiting Tigers. It marked Locksley's second goal in as many home contests and the first two goals of her Auburn career.
The redshirt sophomore tied for the team high with three shots in the contest and has registered two or more shots in three of the last four matches.
Coming off knee injuries in each of the last two seasons, Locksley has played in all 12 contests this season and is one of six Auburn players with multiple goals and five or more points.
The recognition marks the first of the career for Locksley and the third of the year for the Tigers from Top Drawer Soccer.
Locksley and the Tigers travel to take on Mississippi State (6-5-1, 1-2-1 SEC) in Starkville, Mississippi, Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. The team then returns home to host No. 13 Texas A&M (9-2-2, 3-1-0 SEC) Sunday, Oc.t 13 at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.
