KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The No. 19 Auburn men's golf team captured the team title, while Jovan Rebula earned medalist honors following the final round of the Kiawah Classic Tuesday afternoon at Turtle Point Country Club.

It is Auburn's first team title of the season and the second individual crown in Rebula's career.

"I am extremely proud of the entire team for closing out the fall season on a strong note," head coach Nick Clinard said. "Our chemistry and unity were outstanding all week, and this should provide a lot of momentum heading into the spring."

As a team, the Tigers shot 31-under (274-282-277--833) for the tournament at the par-72 course and won the event by 15 strokes over second-place Charleston.

Rebula, who earned medalist honors at the 2019 Southeastern Conference Championship, shot 13-under (64-66-73--203) for the tournament and won by three strokes over Charleston's Hunter Dunagan.

Despite shooting 3-over for the opening 10 holes of his final found, the senior birdied two of the next three holes and finished out the round at 2-under in the final eight holes.

"During the week, I was playing some incredible golf the first two rounds," Rebula said. "I was sleeping on the lead and I was eight shots ahead (on Tuesday). It was something that I haven't really been in that position before. I got off to a little bit of a shaky start and was scrambling around most of the first 10 holes. I just found my swing on the 11th hole and that carried on for the rest of the round. It was good enough to get the job done."

Alex Vogelsong produced his career-best finish as he ended the week in third at 7-under (71-72-66--209). The freshman produced seven birdies across the final 18 holes, including five on the back nine. Vogelsong birdied all four par-5 holes Tuesday.

Graysen Huff and Wells Padgett also joined Rebula and Vogelsong inside the top 10 with finishes in a tie for sixth and eighth, respectively. Huff, who had four birdies on the back nine and eagled the second hole, shot 5-under (69-72-70--211) for the week. Padgett thwarted a bogey on the first hole of the day and rattled off eight birdies to cap the week at 4-under (66-80-66--212).

Andrew Kozan and Brandon Mancheno were part of a four-way tie for 20th at 1-under. Kozan (73-74-68--215) produced five birdies and 12 pars in his final circuit of the course, while Mancheno (70-72-73--215) racked up four birdies and 10 pars.

In his first career action, C.J. Easley finished in a tie for 34th at 2-over (71-71-76--218). The freshman fended off a pair of bogeys and a double-bogey with 15 pars, including 10 straight to open the day.

Rounding out the lineup was Austin Coggin, who tied for 68th at 8-over (78-74-72--224). The fellow newcomer shot a career-best even-par round that featured four birdies and 11 pars.

The Tigers open the spring season Feb. 6-8 when they travel to Waikoloa, Hawaii for the Amer Ari Invitational.
