It's time to get to know the 2019-20 Auburn women's golf team. With the Tigers next tournament not until February, we will be sitting down with all eight members of this year's team over the course of the next two months and asking the hard-hitting questions you want to know.

First up in the series is Megan Schofill, a true freshman who arrived in August.

1. What is the biggest golf highlight of your career?

Schofill: Making it to the round of 16 in the U.S. Women's Amateur. It was awesome. I was there the year before and lost in the round of 32, and then came back and made it to the round of 16. In my round of 32 match, I had to go to a playoff and won on the 19th hole. Luckily, I had the experience the next year of winning and being in a playoff, so I think that helped me a lot.

2. Why did you choose Auburn?

Schofill: It felt like home as soon as I stepped on campus. The coaches, atmosphere, and town were all so welcoming. When you come here, you get a different feeling than you do at other universities.

3. Do you have any pre-tournament superstitions?

Schofill: I have a lot. My main superstitions involve food. If I eat at a restaurant the night before and then I shoot really well, I'll go back to the same place. I always have the same breakfast – a bagel with cream cheese and coffee. Also, I always use the same white tees and the same ball marker that I got from the Masters four years ago. Another superstition is if it's raining and I'm already playing really well, I can't put any rain gear on at all. I do not want to jinx anything.

4. What is the best vacation you've ever been on?

Schofill: Destin. When I was a kid we would go with our close family friends and would have 10 to 12 people in one house. Those were always the best trips.

5. If you could trade places with any famous figure for a day, who would it be?

Schofill: Jessie James Decker

6. What is your favorite place to eat in Auburn?

Schofill: Taco Mama

7. If you're stranded on a deserted island, what three items do you put in your backpack?

Schofill: A flashlight because I hate the dark, a knife, and a LifeStraw because those purify the water when you drink through it.

8. Are you currently watching anything on Netflix?

Schofill: "How to Get Away with Murder"

9. What does the Auburn Family mean to you?

Schofill: It is a family that is very close-knit, caring, and hardworking. Our team is too and I know because of that we are capable of accomplishing so much this year. We can do anything we set our minds to.
