Auburn baseball 2020 signing class: Cam Hill

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball and head coach Butch Thompson added another pitcher with the announcement of Cam Hill's signing Wednesday afternoon.

Hill is primarily a left-handed pitcher from Madison, Alabama, and also plays first base. He is a product of Bob Jones High School and Team Georgia National.  

"Ever since I was a kid it's been my dream to rock the orange and blue," Hill said. "Now that I finally get to play in front of the Auburn family, it means the world to me. The coaches are the best in the business, and I'm ready to get to work."

Hill makes his way to The Plains as the top-rated southpaw in Alabama and the No. 8 overall player in the state, according to Perfect Game. He is a top-300 player nationally and was named a 2019 Perfect Game Preseason Third Team All-American. Hill also participated in the 2019 Perfect Game National Showcase and helped lead Team Georgia to a WWBA 18U National Championship.

Entering his senior season with the Bob Jones Patriots, HIll has been named ASWA First Team All-State in each of the last two seasons. He has turned in a combined 14-4 record and 1.99 ERA while also hitting 28 doubles, 17 home runs and driving in 71 runs at the plate during his sophomore and junior campaigns.

The Madison, Alabama native was a 2019 AL.com Super All-State Team selection and competed in the 2019 AHSAA North vs. South All-Star Game. He also earned Preseason All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper in 2019.
