Freshman Morgan Leigh Oldham came to the Plains with Auburn in her blood. The second generation Tiger hails from Orlando and brings a positive, out-going attitude to the gym.
Q: Do you have any pre-meet superstitions?
A: I don't have superstitions, but I do have rituals I like in order to keep myself in a rhythm. The night before a meet, I love to eat grilled chicken. Also, I like doing my make-up and getting ready and having some me time.
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
A: I would love to be able to read people's minds. I'm such a talker and I'm so outgoing, but at the same time I love getting to know other people.
Q: Do you have any pets and if so what are their names?
A: I have two dogs named Stella and Aubie.
Q: What is the best vacation you've ever been on?
A: My whole family surprised me on the morning of my birthday and we went to Los Angeles and it was so much fun.
Q: What is your favorite season?
A: Definitely summer, I love the heat.
Q: What have been the highlights of your gymnastics career so far?
A: The Florida state meet, it was my last year in Florida and I left it all out there when I competed and it ended up being a really good meet for me. Another high point for me was going to nationals in North Carolina. It was a really good experience.
Q: What is your favorite Auburn sport other than gymnastics?
A: Football and basketball are a tie for me.
Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you put in your backpack?
A: Popcorn because I love it, water because it's necessary, and I would try and fit my mom in there because I love her so much and she would know what to do.
Q: What is your favorite dessert?
A: The cookies and cream cupcakes that the Wellness Kitchen makes are the best things I've ever tasted in my life.
Q: What is your favorite fruit and least favorite vegetable?
A: My favorite fruit is bananas and my least favorite vegetable is cauliflower.
Q: If you could trade places with any famous figure for a day, who would it be and why?
A: I would love to trade places with a sports icon like Michael Jordan. It would be interesting to experience a day of how they get to do things.
Q: What is your go-to salad dressing?
A: Caesar or Chipotle
Q: What is your favorite Auburn tradition?
A: My mom went to Auburn so I love any tradition that I get to share with her.
Q: What is your favorite gymnastics event to compete in and which do you find the most challenging?
A: I love beam. It's the one that a lot of people are scared of and I like that challenge. I feel comfortable and at home when I'm on beam. The toughest would be bars or vault, they each have their own challenges.
Q: If you could give a message to your fans and the Auburn Family what would it be?
A: I want them to know that I love Auburn and I am so excited for this season. We are so eager to take the fans on our journey with us and share our season with them.
