AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball and head coach Butch Thompson began to announce the program's 2020 signing class with the addition of Carson Swilling Monday afternoon.
Swilling is a right-handed pitcher and joins Thompson and the Tigers from nearby Smiths Station, Alabama. He is a product of Smiths Station High School and the East Cobb Astros.
"I've grown up around Auburn and have always wanted to be in a position to become a part of the baseball program," Swilling said. "I'm ready to play for Coach Thompson and his staff in front of the best fans in college baseball."

A right-handed pitcher and outfielder, Swilling is rated by Perfect Game as the No. 166 player in the country and the No. 2 player in Alabama. He was named a 2019 Perfect Game Preseason Third Team All-American and a member of the 2019 Perfect Game National Showcase Top Prospect Team.
Swilling hit .367 with 11 doubles, two home runs, 27 RBI and 15 stolen bases as a junior for Smiths Station. He also saw some time on the mound and turned in a 1.00 ERA with 15 strikeouts and four saves in 9.0 innings pitched.
Following his junior season, Swilling was one of 80 high school players selected to participate in the Prospect Development Pipeline League. The right-hander went on to earn a roster spot for the first-ever MLB High School All-Star Game and threw a scoreless inning in the Cleveland Indians' Progressive Field.
