AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball and head coach Butch Thompson continued to announce the program's 2020 signing class with the addition of outfielder Bobby Peirce Friday afternoon.

Peirce hails from Scottsdale, Arizona, and is a product of South Mountain Community College and Arcadia High School.

"I'm very excited to become a part of the Auburn family and represent my home state of Arizona," Peirce said. "Being an Auburn Tiger will give me the opportunity to grow as a player and, most importantly, as a person.

"As soon as I stepped on campus, I instantly had a connection with the coaches, players and people of Auburn," Peirce added. "Everything at Auburn just felt right to me, and I knew all along it's where I belonged."

Peirce was recently rated by Perfect Game as the No. 38 junior college prospect in the country. The outfielder played in 56 games as a freshman at South Mountain and turned in a .315 average with eight doubles, four triples, eight home runs and 44 RBI. He also drew 27 walks, stole seven bases and scored 34 runs en route to being named Second Team All-Conference.

Prior to South Mountain, Peirce was a standout at Arcadia High School, registering a .388 average in his final two seasons with the team. He turned in 12 doubles, six triples, four home runs and 38 RBI in 42 games as a junior and senior.

Peirce was also a four-year letterwinner on the Arcadia golf team. He turned in the team's lowest score in the state tournament as a freshman and helped lead the team to a state championship while finishing in the top five individually as a senior.
