AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn baseball program and head coach Butch Thompson announced the addition of 2020 signee Chase Wilkerson Monday afternoon.
Wilkerson is originally from Headland, Alabama. He is a product of San Jacinto-North College and Headland High School.
"When I met the coaches, everything about the program felt like home," Wilkerson said. "I'm ready to play for the coaches and compete for a championship."

Wilkerson, who was recently tabbed the No. 51 JUCO prospect by Perfect Game, played in 52 games as a freshman at San Jacinto-North. He turned in a .291 average with three home runs, 18 RBI and 34 runs scored while also posting a 1-0 record with 13 strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched. Wilkerson was named a 2019 NJCAA Region XIV South All-Star and First Team All-Conference.
Coming out of high school in 2018, Wilkerson was rated by Perfect Game as a top 300 player nationally, including the No. 8 player and No. 4 right-handed pitcher in Alabama. He participated in the 2017 Perfect Game National Showcase and was named a 2017 Perfect Game Preseason Second Team All-American.
In four seasons at Headland, Wilkerson posted a 29-7 record and sub-2.00 ERA. He also totaled 28 doubles, 22 triples, seven home runs and 131 RBI, including a career high 41 RBI en route to being named the 2018 ASWA 5A Player of the Year and Dothan Eagle Super 12 Player of the Year.
