AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn baseball program and head coach Butch Thompson added more depth to its 2020 signing class by announcing the addition of John Griffin Bell Monday afternoon.
Bell is an infielder from Mobile, Alabama. He is a product of Faith Academy and the Baysox Baseball Academy.
"I'm super excited about the opportunity to represent the Auburn Tigers," Bell said. "I can't wait to see what the team accomplishes this season and how I can contribute to that success next year."

In three seasons playing for Faith Academy, Bell is a .388 career hitter and has totaled 26 doubles, four triples, three home runs, 51 RBI and 75 runs scored. He was named ASWA Class 6A Second Team All-State in 2019 and Program 15 All-Prospect Top 10. Additionally, Bell helped lead Faith Academy to the 2018 Class 5A State Championship as well as a runner-up finish in the 2017 state championship.
Bell also played football at Faith Academy and helped the team an undefeated regular season and 5A Regional Championship in 2019. He recorded 1,210 receiving yards, 154 rushing yards, 327 return yards and 17 totaled touchdowns to go along with three interceptions in his career.
