GREENVILLE, N.C. – Junior reliever Cody Greenhill has been named to the watch list for the 16th annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, which is given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball.
Greenhill was also named to the Stopper of the Year Award preseason and midseason watch lists in 2019. The recognition comes a week after being named preseason All-SEC and All-America.
A stalwart in the bullpen the last two seasons, the Russellville, Alabama native has posted an 8-6 record with a 2.87 ERA in 49 career appearances. He enters his junior season ranked sixth in program history with 17 career saves.
After turning in a team-best 2.30 ERA and earning freshman All-America honors in 2018, the Russellville, Alabama, native made 28 appearances and 12 saves a season ago, including seven saves in conference play. Greenhill's 12 saves were tied for the second most in the conference and tied for the fourth most in a single-season in Auburn history. Additionally, his seven saves in SEC play were second most in the league.
