AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team remains No. 17 in the national rankings per RoadtoNationals.com. The weekly rankings are based on the team's average in overall score over the last six meets.
The Tigers remain in Auburn this week as the squad hosts No. 2 Florida Friday, Feb. 14, in Auburn Arena. The two teams will go head-to-head at 7:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
"We didn't expect much change in the rankings this week," head coach Jeff Graba said. "We'll have our hands full with Florida coming to town. We are focused on just getting ourselves better this week."
This week's top five has Oklahoma (No. 1) and Florida (No. 2) separated by less than .150, while Utah, UCAL and Denver round out the last three spots.
The Tigers moved up four spots on vault, ranking No. 12 following a season-high 49.425 against Kentucky last week. Beam is also 12th at 49.071 and bars stands at No. 17 with an even 49.000.
Sophomore Derrian Gobourne and junior Drew Watson are among the Top 25 nationally on vault. Gobourne ranks 20th at 9.871 and Watson is 25tth at 9.862.
