DALLAS – Junior reliever Cody Greenhill has been named a Preseason Second Team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The recognition comes the same day Greenhill was named Preseason Second Team All-SEC alongside teammates Tanner Burns and Rankin Woley.

A stalwart in the bullpen the last two seasons, Greenhill has posted an 8-6 record with a 2.87 ERA in 49 career appearances. He enters his junior season ranked sixth in program history with 17 career saves.

After turning in a team-best 2.30 ERA and earning freshman All-America honors in 2018, the Russellville, Alabama, native made 28 appearances and 12 saves a season ago, including seven saves in conference play. Greenhill's 12 saves were tied for the second most in the conference and tied for the fourth most in a single-season in Auburn history. Additionally, his seven saves in SEC play were second most in the league.

Greenhill and the Tigers open the 2020 campaign with a four-game series against Illinois-Chicago beginning Friday, Feb. 14 at Plainsman Park. Mini plan and single game ticket options are available. Fans can reach the Auburn ticket office by phone at 855-282-2010 or by emailing tickets@auburn.edu. To order tickets online, click here.
