Auburn extended its win streak to eight games with a three-game sweep of Chicago State … the sweep was the team's second straight and third in non-conference play … it marks just the second time since 2007 the Tigers have swept three of four non-conference weekends (2018) … the Tigers hit .407 in the series (48-for-118) and outscored Chicago State 31-2 … the 48 hits are the most in a three-game series since also recording 48 hits in three games at Kentucky from Apr. 8-10, 2011 and the most in a span of three game since totaling 50 hits in the 2018 Raleigh Regional … the two runs allowed are the fewest in a series since allowing one run in three games vs. Longwood to open the 2018 season … 17 different position players saw action in the series, and 14 recorded a hit … five players recorded two or more hits in all three contests … the Auburn pitching staff held Chicago State to 12 hits in 27.0 innings and struck out 37 batters while issuing just seven walks … the weekend rotation went 3-0 with a 0.95 ERA and struck out 27 batters with four walks in 19.0 innings … all three starters turned in a quality outing … Auburn relievers haven't allowed a run since the sixth inning of the middle game against Wright State on Feb. 29 – a span of 15.1 innings.
