AUBURN, Ala. – Kim Hall has been named an assistant coach for the Auburn women's golf program, head coach Melissa Luellen announced Wednesday. Hall, who arrived at Auburn in 2018 as a volunteer coach for the Tigers, served as interim assistant coach since January.

"Kim is a natural coach," Luellen said. "She possesses a daily quest for excellence with integrity and positivity. She has a thirst for knowledge and loves supporting our student-athletes and helping them grow and improve on and off the course. She is an excellent role model for our players to emulate."

A four-year letter winner and All-Pac 10 performer at Stanford from 1999-2003, Hall played on the LPGA Tour for five seasons (2006-10).

"For me, it's awesome just to be able to totally dive in to being part of Auburn Athletics," she said. "I am interested in really helping the girls not only succeed on the golf course but after they leave Auburn. That's always been a big focus of mine even as a volunteer coach. Any way I can help them – if they way to play golf, if they don't want to play golf, whatever it may be – I really look forward to being able to continue to do that more often."

Working alongside Luellen the past three months, Hall helped Auburn secure a victory at the Lake Oconee Invitational along with a second-place finish at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. The Tigers also had two individual winners in three tournaments this spring with Kaleigh Telfer winning at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge and Megan Schofill taking first at Lake Oconee.

"We do have such a special group of girls," Hall said. "There's so much talent, they work so hard and they're all very nice girls and they all genuinely root for each other. So it's a really fun place to be a coach and have players like that because that doesn't always happen.

"They all felt like we really had something special going, so I'm super excited that we're going to be able to continue on that and hopefully pick up where we left off."

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Hall's top finish on the LPGA Tour was a third-place showing at the 2008 Bell Micro LPGA Classic. She also served three seasons as Player Vice President on the LPGA Board of Directors. She retired from full-time competition in 2010 after the birth of her first child.

Prior to her professional career, Hall played at Stanford where she was the team MVP for two seasons and a three-time selection to the All-Pac 10 Team. She graduated from Stanford in 2003 with a degree in American studies and a minor in political science.

The former Kim Rowton is married to Casey Hall, and the couple resides in Auburn with their two children, Maggie and AJ.
