AUBURN, Ala. – Junior Emma Crosbie of the No. 1 Auburn equestrian team was selected to represent the Tigers on the 2020 SEC Community Service Team, the Southeastern Conference announced.
The honor highlights athletes from each school in the league who give back to their communities in superior service efforts.
Crosbie, a San Diego product, has volunteered at the Southeastern Equine Rescue for the last three years and started going at least once a week this past school year. In addition, she spent a lot of time at Storybrook Farm, a facility in neighboring Opelika that provides equine assisted activities for children and young adults facing physical, mental and emotional challenges.
Crosbie also has participated in the Auburn Downtown Trick or Treat festival where she handed out candy and signed autographs for children in attendance. She also spent time opening car doors at elementary schools.
