Brooke Sansom placed T-17 this week at the LNGA Amateur Championship.

AUBURN, Ala. – After not playing competitively since March, the Auburn women's golf team hit the ground running this summer playing in various tournaments individually.

It started with Mychael O'Berry winning the Alabama Women's Stroke Play Championship in June (full story). Megan Schofill followed that with a victory of her own, taking first place at the Florida Women's Amateur Championship to kick off the month of July (full story).

Earlier this week, Brooke Sansom put together a strong performance at the Ladies National Golf Association Amateur Championship where she placed in a tie for 17th against a field of more than 130 golfers. Sansom fired a 70 (-2) in the first round and finished 1-over through three rounds with seven birdies and an eagle.

The trio of O'Berry, Schofill and Sansom also competed in the North & South Women's Amateur Championship at Pinehurst in July. Schofill was the lone Tiger to make the cut and advance to match play. From there, the First Team All-SEC selection reached the Round of 16 before bowing out.

Incoming freshman Elina Sinz, a native of Katy, Texas, played in two AJGA events this month in her home state and finished tied for 15th in both. Sinz's low round came in the third round of the AJGA Junior at River Crossing where she shot a 72 (E) with two birdies. Sinz is expected to arrive at Auburn in August.

Here's a look at all of July's results and a look ahead at what's to come.
