AUBURN, Ala. – The recognition for Auburn goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska kept coming Tuesday as she was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.

Prohaska is the first Auburn freshman named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week since Amy Howard in 2009. The honor comes a day after she was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week.

An early enrollee from West Chester, Ohio, Prohaska made her collegiate debut against Mississippi State last Friday, becoming the first Auburn true freshman to start a season opener in goal since 2009.

Prohaska held the Bulldogs scoreless in the run of play with the lone goal coming on a penalty kick and made a league-high eight saves, six of which came in the second half and overtime periods.

The freshman keeper logged all 110 minutes in the double overtime contest and also played a role in the attack as the Tigers built from the back for the majority of the match.
