AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn golfer Jovan Rebula has been named to the Haskins Award Watch List, the Golf Channel announced Thursday.
The Haskins Award is awarded annually to the most outstanding men's college golfer, as voted on by players, coaches and media members.
Rebula is currently ranked 10th in the PGA Tour University rankings, which will award Korn Ferry Tour cards to the top five college seniors according to the program's points standings. Ten more cards will be handed out for access to one of the Tour's international circuits.
Rebula, just the third three-time All-American in program history, set the single-season record for lowest stroke average at 70.19 during the 2019-20 campaign. His 71.4 career average is second in the Auburn record books, trailing only Blayne Barber (2010-12) at 70.83.
The George, South Africa native was the top finisher for the Tigers four times last season and logged five top-10 finishes in the seven tournaments played. Seventeen of his 21 rounds were at or below par with seven that were in the 60s.
Rebula and the Tigers tee off the season on national television at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, Oct. 5-7. The event, set to take place at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark., features all 14 of the SEC's men's and women's teams and will broadcast live on Golf Channel from 3:30-6:30 p.m. CT during each day.
