AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball and head coach Butch Thompson continued to add depth in the middle of the field with the addition of Cole Foster to the 2020 signing class.
Foster is a middle infielder from Plano, Texas. He is a product of Plano Senior High School and the Dallas Tigers.
"As soon as I arrived on campus for my visit it felt like home," Foster said. "The entire coaching staff was unbelievable, and I can't wait to start working with them."

Foster comes to the Plains highly regarded by a number of outlets. He is rated by Prep Baseball Report as the No. 26 overall player in the class, including the No. 5 player in Texas. Additionally, he has been tabbed the No. 71 rated high school prospect by Baseball America, including the sixth-best player in Texas, and the No. 153 player in the class by Perfect Game, including the 11th best in his home state.
Foster has been named a 2019 Perfect Game Preseason First Team All-American and also competed for the Texas Rangers Area Code Team. He was named the District Newcomer of the Year after hitting .405 as a freshman at Plano. Foster went on to be named Second Team All-District as a sophomore and hit .305 with a .452 on-base percentage as a junior.
