AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn Arena and the Auburn gymnastics team will host one of four NCAA Women's Gymnastics Regionals in 2022.
The three-day meet will be held March 31-April 2 and will feature 10 teams. After a two-team play in the first day, two sessions of four teams will highlight the following round of competition on day two. The top two squads from each session will advance to the Sweet Sixteen on the final night. From there, the teams finishing first and second will move on the NCAA Championships.
The squad last hosted the event in 2015, seeing the Tigers finish second overall and eventually reach the NCAA Super Six.
Auburn has previously hosted regional meets in 1991, 2012 and 2015. The Tigers hosted the 2006 NCAA Championship meet in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The regional in 2022 will mark the third NCAA Regional meet in Auburn Arena.
