AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn sophomore Derick Hall earned Southeastern Conference defensive lineman of the week honors, the SEC announced Monday.
Hall recorded his first two career sacks Saturday in Auburn's 48-11 victory over LSU.
Hall and his defensive teammates limited LSU to 32 rushing yards, forced three turnovers that led to 21 points and held the Bengal Tigers to 31 points below their average.
Hall's first sack came late in a scoreless first quarter when he tackled LSU quarterback TJ Finley for a 4-yard-loss on first down to put the Bengal Tigers behind the chains after LSU had crossed midfield.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn awarded the team's helmet sticker to the Tigers' D-line for its play vs. LSU, in stopping the run and affecting the quarterback.
"We really worked extremely hard on that," Malzahn said. "That's been an emphasis. We've improved. Their offensive line is very solid. For us to do it against them says a lot and I think we can continue that. They really took a step forward.
"We knew they'd try to come in here and run the football with a freshman quarterback making his first start on the road."
Hall joins Auburn teammates Jaylin Simpson (freshman of the week), Tank Bigsby (freshman of the week) and Seth Williams (offensive player of the week) in earning SEC weekly awards in 2020.
After an open date, No. 24 Auburn (4-2) plays at Mississippi State (1-4) on Nov. 14.
