The Auburn men's tennis team got key wins Friday against Florida at the 53rd Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga.
The Tigers were strong in doubles, where Tad Maclean and Finn Murgett posted an 8-6 victory over Andy Andrade and Blaise Bicknell.
In singles, Tim Dollman was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Florida's Will Grant, and Spencer Gray came from behind to take Florida's Lukas Greif to three sets before falling, as did Auburn's Diego Chavarria against Niklas Von Hellens of Georgia.
The Tigers will go up against Ole Miss on Saturday and face host Georgia on Sunday morning. Spectator attendance will be limited to guests of the respective team members via pass list. Approved fans on the pass list should remain socially distant throughout the stadium.
