ATHENS, Ga. – Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen predicted Saturday would be moving day at the Liz Murphey Fall Collegiate Classic. She was right. The Tigers moved all the way up to first place with a season-low score of 281 (-7) in the second round.

It was a slow start for Auburn as all five players went over par on the first hole, but they responded with a combined 19 birdies over the next 17 holes, including 12 on the back nine.

"I loved the resilience they all showed to bounce back from a terrible start," Luellen said. "There are 54 holes in a tournament which allows time to overcome mistakes."

Freshman Megan Schofill shot in the red for the second straight day with a 2-under 70 on Saturday. A First Team All-SEC selection last year, Schofill is now 3-under for the weekend and tied for second on the individual leaderboard heading into the final round.

Saturday's low round came from junior Mychael O'Berry who fired a 69 (-3) with a team-high six birdies. O'Berry made three straight birdies following a double bogey on the first hole and moved into a tie for fourth overall, two shots back of Schofill.

Brooke Sansom made it three Tigers under par Saturday as the sophomore shot a season-low 70 (-2) with four birdies, all coming on the back nine. Sansom, now at 7-over for the tournament, moved up 19 spots on the leaderboard where she's tied with Auburn freshman Anna Foster for 38th overall. Foster carded a 76 (+4) in the second round.

Fellow freshman Elina Sinz continued her solid play, shooting a 72 (E) on Saturday At 2-under through the first two rounds, Sinz is currently in a tie for 15th individually.

Auburn will enter the third and final round as the leader at 2-under (574), followed by Vanderbilt (581), Mississippi State (581), Georgia (582), Tennessee (582), Kentucky (586), LSU (587), Texas A&M (591), Arkansas (594), Alabama (594), Missouri (597) and Georgia B (603).
