AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball's next addition to its 2021 signing class is two-sport athlete Cade Granzow.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, and a product of Brentwood High School, Granzow is not only a standout on the baseball diamond, but also on the football gridiron. He has been rated by Prep Baseball Report as the No. 4 player in Tennessee, including the top-rated right-handed pitcher. He is also a three-star, dual-threat quarterback.
"The coaching staff was the biggest factor," Granzow said of signing with the Tigers. "Not only can they make me a better player, but also a better man. They always want what's best for me and want me to succeed in whatever I do in life. It's a great feeling and a true blessing to have the opportunity to play at Auburn, and I'm ready to go."

A four-year starter for the baseball Bruins, Granzow was the only freshman to start on Brentwood's state runner-up team in 2018. Also a standout for the Southeast Rawlings Mavericks on the travel ball circuit, he has been recognized by Perfect Game as a High Honorable Mention Preseason Underclass All-American in each of the last two seasons.
As the starting quarterback, Granzow has led Brentwood to a 10-3 record and an appearance in tomorrow night's TSSAA Divison I Class 6A State Championship. A year ago, Granzow was named the 6-6A Region MVP after throwing for 1,972 yards and 17 touchdowns while also rushing for 553 yards and 15 scores.
Granzow appeared on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays for a game-winning touchdown pass in the second round of the state playoffs (shown below).
