AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball continues to announce members of its 2021 signing class with the addition of infielder and right-handed pitcher Seaver Sheets.     
 
Sheets, who is the son of 10-year MLB veteran and four-time All-Star Ben Sheets, will make his way to the Plains from Monroe, Louisiana. He is rated by Perfect Game as the No. 277 overall player in the class, including the No. 7 player in Louisiana.
 
"[Auburn] felt like the perfect fit for me as a person, student and player," Sheet said. "Officially signing was one of the most exciting moments of my life, knowing that I'm getting an opportunity that I have worked so hard for. I can't wait to help continue the upward trajectory of the program and try to win a national championship."

A standout at Sterlington High School, Sheets helped lead the Panthers to a 35-4 record, the Louisiana Class 3A State Championship and a No. 3 national ranking in the final MaxPreps small school poll. He hit .369 with eight doubles, two triples, 15 RBI, 41 runs scored and seven stolen bases en route to earning all-state honors.
 
Sheets participated in the 2019 Perfect Game Jr. National Showcase and 2020 Perfect Game National Showcase, earning a spot on the Showcase Top Prospect Team during both events. He earned all-tournament team honors at four Perfect Game and WWBA championships for Sheets Baseball and Team Louisiana this summer.
