It's time to meet the Auburn gymnastics freshman class as we bring you Q&As with the newcomers. Up next is Olivia Hollingsworth!
 
Hometown: Seabrook, Texas
Club: World Champions
Prior to Auburn: 2019 US Classic qualifier … 2019 fourth-place finish in the all-around at the American Classic … 2018 Senior Elite American Classic and US Classic qualifier … 2017 U.S. Junior National qualifier … Captured the Level 10 Texas state all-around and beam title in 2016.
 
Q: What is your favorite event to compete on during a meet?
A: My favorite event to compete is floor because it's the most fun, and you can feel the energy of everyone around you and use that to your advantage.
 
Q: What made you choose Auburn to continue your gymnastics career?
A: On my first visit to Auburn, I was immediately drawn to the family atmosphere not only in the gym, but around the whole campus. Every person that I met was extremely friendly and made me feel at home and that ultimately made me choose Auburn to continue my gymnastics career.
 
Q: What has been your favorite part about Auburn so far?
A: My favorite part about Auburn so far has been all of the support I have received and the amazing family atmosphere.
 
Q: What is your go to dinner?
A: My go to dinner is Italian food.
 
Q: What is your dream job?
A: My dream job is to be a sports medicine doctor.
 
Q: What are your individual goals going into this season?
A: My goal this season is to compete all around and help the team in any way possible.
 
Q: How has preparing for meets been different during COVID-19?
A: The team has had to be split up inside and outside of the gym because of COVID, so we weren't able to train together as a team. It made it hard for us to spend time together and get to know one another outside of the gym.
 
Q: What is the hardest event during a meet for you?
A: The hardest event for me during a meet is beam because that's the even that I feel the most nerves on
 
Q: What has been your favorite gymnastics memory so far?
A: My favorite memories about gymnastics are getting to compete alongside some of the best gymnasts in the country and developing new friendships along the way.
 
Q: What are you watching on Netflix right now?
A: I am watching Private Practice on Netflix.
 
Q: What was it like placing all-around fourth in the 2019 American classic?
A: It was a lot of fun competing at that meet. Placing fourth was really exciting and it felt like finally all of my hard work was starting to pay off.
 
Q: What are the goals for your team going into this season?
A: A big goal for the team is for everyone to stay healthy and to successfully get through this season without any COVID flare ups. As well as set new records together as a team.
 
Q: If you could give a message to the Auburn Family, what would you say?
A: We love and appreciate all of the support that the Auburn Family shows us each and every day. Nothing makes us happier than representing Auburn University and sharing our journey with the Auburn Family.
