AUBURN, Ala. – Members of the No. 1 Auburn equestrian team closed out the fall with not only success on the Plains, but away from Auburn as well.
Representing the Western side at the 2020 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show was senior Deanna Green and sophomore Olivia Tordoff. The annual event was held Nov. 2-21 in Oklahoma City.
Tordoff had a successful showing at the world show, reaching the finals in three events. Highlighting her time in Oklahoma was her bronze finish in Amateur Hunter Under Saddle. In addition, the Powell, Ohio, product won the preliminary round of Amateur Horsemanship and went on to be finalist in the event. Tordoff was also a finalist in Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation.
Green, of Ocala, Fla., was the bronze champion in Amateur Western Riding. She was also a Top 5 finisher in Amateur Horsemanship.
In addition, freshman Kate Buchanan has had a great fall away from the Plains. Highlighting her performances was her showing at the AQHYA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City. She was World Champion in Team Roping Heeling, while earning Reserve Champion in Team Roping Heading.
