AUBURN, Ala. – For the third consecutive season, Auburn has finished as a ranked team in the final Associated Press poll. The Tigers cap off the 2019-20 season as the No. 20 team in the country following a 25-6 record, including 12-6 in SEC play.
It is the eighth time that Auburn has been tabbed in the final poll of the season in program history. The Tigers finished 16th in 1958, eighth in 1959, 11th in 1960, fourth in 1999, 24th in 2000, 19th in 2018 and 14th in 2019.
Auburn was ranked for the entire 2019-20 season, including the preseason poll. It is just the second time in program history that the Tigers have been ranked for the full season, joining the 1958-59 season.
Auburn is one of 10 teams that was ranked in every poll during the season, joining Baylor, Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Oregon and Villanova.
The Tigers have appeared in 22 straight AP polls, which is tied for the second-longest streak in program history from Jan. 8, 2018-Jan. 21, 2019 and trails only the 31 from Dec. 14, 1998-Mar. 13, 2000.
Auburn's appearances in 22 straight polls is the sixth-longest active streak in the country, trailing only Kansas (220), Duke (83), Gonzaga (78), Kentucky (41) and Villanova (23).
In addition, the Tigers also finished 20th in the final USA Today Coaches Poll.
