AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team enters the week at No. 9 per RoadtoNationals.com. The weekly rankings are based on the overall team score from the season-opening weekend.
The Tigers hit the road for the first time in 2021, traveling to No. 8 Kentucky for a 6 p.m. CT meet in Lexington Friday, Jan. 15
"It feels good to have a good meet under out belt and to be ranked in the Top 10," head coach Jeff Graba said. "As always, we are focusing on the road ahead and this Friday will be a great test. Not only is it a tough road meet, but also because we have room to improve as well."
This week's top five has Florida (No. 1) and Oklahoma (No. 2) separated by .050 points. Utah is third, while Alabama and LSU are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Arkansas (No. 6) and Georgia (No. 7) are also among the top 10 with Missouri ranked No. 14.
Junior Derrian Gobourne is ranked tied for third on bars (9.900) and tied for fourth on floor (9.925). The Sarasota, Fla., product is also tied for third in the all-around (39.425). Sophomore Cassie Stevens is tied for 12th in the all-around (39.225) for the Tigers.
