  • Gave Auburn the lead with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning of the series finale.

Ryan Bliss – Jr. – IF – LaGrange, Ga.

  • Collected a hit in all three contests, including two hits and a RBI in each of the first two games of the series.
  • Recorded his 100th career hit in his 85th game as an Auburn Tiger with a single to right in the second inning of the season opener.
  • He became the fastest Auburn player to arrive as a true freshman and reach 100 career hits since Jordan Ebert did it in 83 games from 2013-14.

Auburn turned in its third season opening sweep in the last four seasons over the weekend … the Tigers are now 15-4 in season opening series under head coach Butch Thompson, including 12-1 in the last four seasons … Auburn used 12 different pitchers against Presbyterian, including three who made their collegiate debuts, and held the Blue Hose to five runs (four earned) in 28.0 innings pitched (1.29 ERA) … the Tigers struck out 10 or more batters in all three contests and have now registered 10 or more strikeouts in 19 of the last 21 games dating back to the start of last season … the team registered 10 or more strikeouts in a record 14 straight games to start the 2020 season … Auburn won its season opener 14-3, marking its most runs and largest margin of victory in a season opener since a 17-0 victory against Hofstra in 2007 … the Tigers hit five home runs by five different players in the first two games of the season … the team didn't hit its fifth home run until the ninth game in 2020 … infielders Rankin Woley and Ryan Bliss recorded their 100th hits in an Auburn uniform in Friday's season opener … it took the duo 83 games and 85 games, respectively, to accomplish the feat … the Tigers now have four players, including Steven Williams (143) and Judd Ward (118), with 100 or more hits in an Auburn uniform.
