AUBURN, Ala.—Auburn football has signed defensive players Dylan Brooks and Dreshun Miller to a national letters of intent, head coach Bryan Harsin announced Tuesday. Brooks is a four-star defensive edge player from Handley High School in Roanoke, Ala., while Miller is a graduate transfer cornerback who was a starter last season at West Virginia University.

"Dylan is one of the top players in our state who has the ability to come in and make an impact," Harsin said. "He's a great young man with a tremendous skill set and ability to set the edge and pursue the football."

A 6-5, 250-pounder, Brooks is an explosive defender who led Handley High to the Alabama Class 4A state champion in 2020 and ranks among the state's highest-ever rated prospects.  He totaled 51 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 16 caches for 212 yards and 4 TD as a tight end as a senior for Coach Larry Strain and the Tigers.

An Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game selection after his senior season, Brooks was first team class 4A all-state as a junior and senior. ESPN rated him the No. 1 prospect in Alabama, while 24/7 ranked him No. 2.

"Dreshun is a big-time player that was one of the better corners in the country last year," Harsin said. "He has great instincts and is tremendous in pass coverage. He will give us much needed experience and depth in our secondary."

A native of Atlanta, Ga., who attended Sprayberry High School, Miller recorded 31 tackles, one interception and eight passes broken up in 2020 at West Virginia after redshirting in 2019 with a knee injury.

The 6-1, 192-pound Miller played two seasons at Eastern Arizona College out of high school, totaling 85 tackles, 12 pass break ups, six tackles for loss and two interceptions over two seasons. He was a 2018 all-WSFL and all-region selection, helping the Gila Monsters to the 2018 WSFA title and Mississippi Bowl appearance. He was a first team all-Region 7-5A Division B at Sprayberry High School.
